"The Cloisters," on Paradise Island, Bahamas, is a 12th-13th century Augustinian monastery remains from Montrejau, France. William Randolph Hearst purchased and shipped the structure to the United States by William Randolph Hearst. Huntington Hartford (heir to the A&P supermarkets) bought the stones and reassembled the cloister in 1968 on its current site. The marble statue--"Silence"--is a relatively modern work. It fits perfectly with the structure.
