Behind The Lens

Location

This was actually taken in my parent's home, as to which I would consider be my last childhood home after many, many other houses. It was nice to finally feel stable enough for a little while at least that they felt comfortable to get a tree as I know that would be years of dedication. I took care of the tree for a few years where I was having a hard time so it kinda has a special meaning for me. It was nice to watch the tree at least turn from a sapling to a bigger, healthier, small tree. My aunt and uncle are the ones living there now so, even to this day I still come by and visit them.

Time

I think I took this late morning to mid day. I usually came out for a bit on the deck while I have a cup of coffee. But the sky in the background was really nice and the sun was hitting the tree just right.

Lighting

The lighting is actually quite amazing where this is taken. Because the tree was close to the deck it would actually be covered in shadow if I had taken that earlier. I guess I wouldn't have had this beautiful photo if I didn't take it then, or at least it wouldn't be perfect.

Equipment

I actually don't have much of a proper equipment in regards to photography. I only used my phone for this at the time. Which I do believe was the Huawei p30.

Inspiration

I have a certain emotional connection with the trees because they were absolutely one of the few things that had kept me around through those years. Seeing the flowers bloom every year even though they could easily be blown away by the wind, I wanted to at least remember that even though a tree doesn't have any fruits to show for, it doesn't mean it never bloomed.

Editing

I actually try not to do more than what the camera has already done with the photo. I think there may be a couple photos on my collection that has post processing but this one was just taken like so.

In my camera bag

Unfortunately I don't really have much of an equipment. All of my photos have just been me with my phone wherever I go.

Feedback

Beauty is nature is easy to find. Trying to find the right subject is kind of a task but once you find the right subject, the photo will be worth it. No matter how small or insignificant it seems. I think if you trust your sight and your skills you can do wonders
