This photo was taken in a Butterfly Garden in Calgary. When holding my camera I try my best to picture the beauty that the eyes can see.Time
Me and my sister planned to visit the place last July 2019. It was nearly noon and the natural lighting gave way for me to capture this moment. I knelt while I was focusing on this beautiful subject.Lighting
When I saw the butterfly I thought to myself. "Aah this moment is perfect, its surrounded with flowers framing it as it drew you into the subject".All it needed was an angle where the natural light seeps thru making the flowers look like they are glowing and directing the viewer to the subject.Equipment
This shot was taken with a Nikon D5600 with my left hand supporting the base. While my right hand was focusing the 18-55 mm lens. No other equipment was utilized.Inspiration
There are moments where I want to capture natures beauty and share it with the world. Butterflies has always fascinated me with their colour and wings. As well as how each position the butterfly takes changes the way it is perceived. Some moments takes patience and years to capture while some are taken on rare opportunities.Editing
Photos captured with natural lighting most of the time needs small adjustments depending on the situation especially if shot during a nice weather. Using Lightroom I adjusted its brightness, exposure and contrast a bit just to make the colours pop out better. In my camera bag
I equip my evacase camera bag with my Nikon D5600 connected to its 18-55 mm lens. I make sure that I have 2 charged lithium batteries which ensures more than 3 hrs of practicing and learning as I go. I studied a bit of Photography but each day is a new lesson especially when your out on the field taking great shots. I also carry a Lens pen DSLR Pro Kit that comes in 3 different kinds of brushes with different sizes of lens filter. It's important to give tender loving care to your equipment because your DSLR gives you a better sight when you maintain it. Basically, its your baby.Feedback
Macro Photography is wonderful. It gives you a clearer picture of your subject depending on how you take it. Don't be afraid to take shots in different times of the day or even weather. Different times give different effects. Be resourceful.Your surroundings can be your tripod with a little patience you will find a good spot.
