Each weekend we would take off driving, calling it our Weekend Adventure.
Living on the Western Slope on the Grand Mesa, our back door wilderness has a plethora of beauty.
We drive to Ekert, Co stopping in on the greatest chocolate shop, Doerst. Driving around dirt roads munching our chocolate, we had turned down a dead end road. I looked at this mailbox noticing the scoop next to it and snapped a picture.
The next week I was going through the pictures from our adventurev and came upon this picture and it took my breath away.
It's my intention to show people the great beauty that our Western Slope small towns have compared to the high profile towns always shown in traveling magazines.
