R A D I A N T - S T - I V E S
Another picture from a trip to St Ives earlier this month. This takes the tally of "worthwhile" pictures from one visit to four - that's a good haul for me!
Shot from Bamaluz Beach, looking towards Godrevy Lighthouse over St Ives Bay. The morning sun ascended into the mid-level cloud, projecting crepuscular rays - always a welcome feature for me!
A slow shutter speed captures the movement of water around the rocks - which lead the eye to nature's light show!
Even with a grad filter, I intentionally underexposed the image in order to capture the rays without blowing them out - with the intention of recovering the dark tones from the RAW file in Lightroom.
Canon 6D MkII | 24-105mm lens at 35mm | ƒ-13 | 1-3 sec | ISO 100 | Tripod | Lee Grad Filters | Taken 08-06-2019
