Location
In Boise, Idaho there is a popular spot called Freak Alley, and it is what it's name implies, literally an alley. What makes it so popular is the city hosts numerous local artists and provides wall space for their particular brand of art. Most paint very artsy and bizarre work that is consider Freakish or Spooky. Others paint amazing murals. Art work even fills the doorways that are inset from the alley. It's really quite amazing.Time
This photo was shot in the late morning.Lighting
Nothing special about the lighting other than on-camera flash.Equipment
I used a Pentax K3 crop-lens camera and built-in flash. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I was working with an amateur model and wanted a fun location to capture her personality. This one stood out.Editing
Some post processing was done in Lightroom. In my camera bag
Have switched from Pentax equipment to Nikon due to unreliable focusing issues. I now use a D750, own a Nikon 50mm, Nikon 24-70mm, Nikon 70-300mm, Tokina 100mm Macro, and Tokina 17-35mm wide angle lenses. I use a Vanguard Vanguard 263AT Aluminum Tripod with ball head mount, and Godox 860 VII Flash with Flashpoint Trigger.Feedback
Just have fun, be creative, be yourself and love your passion for photography. Focus more on the art of photography rather than the science of operating the equipment.
