Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Entwistle Reservoir I’m a self taught keen amateur photographer, and was on a group walk, when came around a corner and seen this scene before me knew it was far to good a opportunity to miss I used a polarizer filter to highlight reflection more

Time

It was around3 in the afternoon when photo was taken

Lighting

Didn’t need to to anything for lighting as the natural day light was ideal

Equipment

I used a Nikon D7200 camera with a Sigma 18-300 lens and a polarizer filter

Inspiration

On the walk around the reservoir and happened to walk around corner and see the scene with the small tree alone and the stunning reflections Just felt had all the perfect ingredients and composition opportunity for a good nice landscape photo

Editing

Just some basic editing in my DXO Raw software

In my camera bag

I normally have small tripod,spare batteries,lens wipes,and polariser filter

Feedback

All I can advise as an amateur keen photographer,is to always be aware of your surroundings and be ready when your lucky enough to come across a great scene and be in the right place at the right time with all great ingredients for a nice photo, and to experiment with different compositions and different angles, and always remember that if you don’t get the photo you desire the first time or second time around just keep on practising and you will get it in the end, took me a while with some of my photos
