Did you know their silk is stronger than steel?
Spiders have always been known as the blessing protectors of homes and good omens in my culture. They eat bugs that could cause you serious bites and infections.
They are welcome in my house, since they usually keep to themselves in their dark corners anyhow.
In Druid and Osage traditions, which have both always been a part of my life aside from Buddhism, spiders are bringers of tricks and tales.
Respect them. They will always come to you when you need them, even if you might not realize it at first.
