This photo was taken during a trip I did with my family in the mountains between Galicia and León, in Spain.Time
I knew I wanted to take sunset pics and there was a viewpoint there so I went there before sunset prepared with my camera.Lighting
The light was beautiful, as in any sunset is soft and warm. Also the color of the dog and the way the light hits the dog helps create that warm atmosphere.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 500D with an 18-135 mm lens. I brought my tripod but it was not necessary. I did not use flash or filters either.Inspiration
This photo was taken during a trip I did so I knew I wanted to photograph the sunset one day from a high point but I didn't know I would have company. When I was there enjoying the view another photographer with his dog appeared. The dog just sat in front of me looking the fantastic view and I did a couple of photos that I ended up loving so much as I am an animal and nature lover. The photographer also took some pics of me taking photos of the view. A beautiful memory in a wonderful landscape.Editing
I normally shoot raw and then I use Lightroom for basic light and color settings. I like them slightly saturated so I gave it a little contrast and saturation.In my camera bag
I changed my camera and now I'm using my Canon EOS 77D. The three lenses I have are the 50mm 1.8 lens, the Canon18-135mm and the one I use the most which is the Tokina 11-16mm. I also like to use some neutral density filters as I love long exposure also during the day. And of course the tripod.Feedback
Sometimes it's just about being in the right place in the right time. When I travel I'm always looking when and where the sunset is and then just try to take some pics. In this case I had a beautiful dog that appeared in that moment but the important thing is for you to be there. Sometimes the pics will be nice and other times fantastic and other just a failure but you have to try and be lucky.
