King Canute's 8 year old daughter is buried in the church today, she drowned in the Mill Stream, early in the 11th Century,
King Harold and William met here in 1064 before the Battle of Hastings.
The Church entrance Doorway as sword marks above it, from the Knights returning from the Crusades, they used to blunt their swords after returning from the Crusades, also the cloth around the Alter depicts the Knights Sailing to and from the Holy land.
