Behind The Lens

Location

The Photo was taken from one of my hike/tour experience. The image is an old shrine in opi Nsukka Local government of Enugu State, Nigeria. The community hold this building sacred.

Time

I took this picture around 1pm in the afternoon, Nigeria/west African time. It was the first attraction for me as we came down from the tour bus and was waiting for the community head. I remember some youths said I shouldn't snap around the area, but I already did before they came..

Lighting

It was a hot afternoon. So it's all Natural light.

Equipment

The Image was shot with a Canon 5D Mrkiii. Canon Lens 50mm f/1.4

Inspiration

I love nature, I love art and tradition. I was stunned cos the mud house was still preserved and also was attracted to the artifacts placed on the building. It was something I loved to see.

Editing

Yes, Lightroom touch up. Reduced a little exposure cos I shot with a prime lens and it was a first shot before the villagers came to warn me not to take pictures of the building cos they held it sacred. But I already had the shot.

In my camera bag

Camera, Canon 5D Mrkiii, Lenses. 24-105, 50mm

Feedback

Well, I'd say this, always have your camera ready cos you if you loose the first shot, you might not get another chance to capture that moment.
