Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my pasture.

Time

This photo was taken in the early evening.

Lighting

This picture was taken at sunset.

Equipment

This photo was taken with my iPhone XR.

Inspiration

I saw this lone dandelion one early April evening as I was walking back from the barn after feeding my horse. The sun was setting behind the trees and I just got the idea. I reached into my pocket, took out my iPhone XR, picked the flower, held it up to the sun and snapped the pic. I am a strictly a hobbyist photographer. I mostly just, edit photos, create compositions and painterly pieces for friends.

Editing

The only post-processing done was minor adjustments to lighting and cropping.

In my camera bag

I have an old bag with an old Minolta X700 film camera, a wide angle and a telephoto lens, a flash, and a few filters that I no longer use but can't quite get rid of. I now have a Fujifilm and my trusty iPhone XR. I also have an old but trusty, Velbon tripod. I am strictly a poor hobbyist photog.

Feedback

The only advice I have is always be on the lookout and carry your phone because nature photo (any photo, really) opportunities can be fleeting. Happy snapping!
