Location
I was home for the holidays in my hometown of Sarnia, Ontario. Since I am a self taught photographer, I ended up using my mother's bathroom to set the scene.Time
It was just after 5 PM, the sun was setting, and I was on a mission to make my vision a reality.Lighting
The bathroom I was using didn't not have the greatest lighting, so I decided to use my ring light to lighten and highlight the model's tattoos and smooth skin.Equipment
During this shoot I used a Nikon CoolPix camera and a ring light.Inspiration
I was looking to show the sass and sexy. This was about empowering women to love their bodies, to feel sexy, to push the limits society has laid out for us. Women around the world should feel this free and confident.Editing
When it came to post-processing this photo I used a combination of Lightroom and Rookie Cam. I like to mix things and keep them fresh when it comes to my processing.In my camera bag
Nowadays you can usually find my Canon EOS M100, lenses, tripod, and my portable studio. My studio comes fully stocked with backdrops and lighting.Feedback
Music! I love to create playlists for my shoots beforehand. I build the poses in my head, I listen to the music to find those songs to set the mood I'm looking for. I find music can relax the models enough to get those perfect photos.
