Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my home in Tennessee.

Time

This is one of my favorite photos I have ever gotten. Because its honestly by pure accident. We had a family of humming birds nesting in our tree so I would see them often. One day while I was photographing some Cardinals in another tree, this little hummingbird came up to me and stuck around for a little bit. It would leave and then come back, like it was curious of me. So I decided to try and snap a few photos of him, and to my surprise I was able to get a few really great photos.

Lighting

it was mid morning so the lighting is just natural.

Equipment

This was shot on a canon sx730hs . no lens no special equipment.

Inspiration

I am a self taught photographer, so I just take photos of anything I find interesting and beautiful.

Editing

.

In my camera bag

I usually just carry and extra battery. no lens, nothing else.

Feedback

Capturing humming birds is all about timing. They move so fast, with the wings beating 50 to 80 beats every second. I happend to already have my cameras set to high speed. So I just got really lucky.
