This is one of my favorite photos I have ever gotten. Because its honestly by pure accident. We had a family of humming birds nesting in our tree so I would see them often. One day while I was photographing some Cardinals in another tree, this little hummingbird came up to me and stuck around for a little bit. It would leave and then come back, like it was curious of me. So I decided to try and snap a few photos of him, and to my surprise I was able to get a few really great photos.Lighting

Capturing humming birds is all about timing. They move so fast, with the wings beating 50 to 80 beats every second. I happend to already have my cameras set to high speed. So I just got really lucky.
