While waiting for sunset and wandering along the banks of lake Te Anau on the south island of New Zealand, I came across this scene. This piece of driftwood perfectly leads the eye out to the serene lake and to the mountains beyond. I was hoping for the clouds to catch colour which they didn't but in the end I was happy the movement of the clouds during this long exposure capture brought a dynamism to the image, sucking you in further.
