Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at El Nido, Palawan, Philippines. While on my short vacation.

Time

It was 6:30 in the evening while I was walking along the seashore, and looking for an open restaurant near my hotel. To have some drinks and dine also. Since most of the restaurants are located near the shore area. For me, this is one of my best shots.

Lighting

Nothing was added on lighting, I took advantage on the natural light surrounding the area. Since my camera is the usual point and shoot it has a limited specifications and settings.

Equipment

I took the photo using Fujifilm FinepixL50, 12Megapixel sensor with 20.4mm lens.3X optical zoom. No other equipment involved.

Inspiration

I just want to capture the serenity. I like to share it with others. The feeling of being into this place, while looking at the photo.

Editing

No post-processing. I am just glad that FinePixL50 has inbuilt Intelligent scene recognition which automatically selects the most suitable shooting mode for each scene.

In my camera bag

Normally I have my Fujifilm FinepixL50 inside my bag. Because it is small and handy. But sometimes, when there is an occasion and I have to capture big events. I also put on my Fujifilm FinePix S200EXR. Sometimes I also include Nikon D5300 inside my backpack.

Feedback

Go to a place where you can explore. Just take a shot but do not manipulate it too much. The natural beauty of the original photo must be preserve. It is important to know what inspires us, and convey the message of that photo right from the heart.
