This photo was taken in Sedona Arizona on a hillside near cathedral rock.Time
I remember taking this image vividly. I was hiking down cathedral rock (a very well known hike in the area). I was tired and exhausted from such a difficult hike In the midday heat. It was about 3pm or 4pm MT.Lighting
In Sedona lighting is fun and easy because everything is so bright. The contrast of colors from the blue sky to the red rock really causes a pop in pictures. In this particular picture I was even able to capture some greens thanks to some seasonal rains that had came through days beforeEquipment
If you know the hike at cathedral rock then you know not much hiking will be done with a large camera. So I chanced it with my iPhone and left the camera in the car. I sure do wish I had my Sony with me though!Inspiration

i used the iPhone portrait mode to take the picture but no editing once I took it.In my camera bag
When I use my camera I carry three batteries a charger and my lenses. I also keep a cloth and cleaning materials in my bag as well.Feedback
Sedona is a force of nature and a special place to capture various beautiful nature photographs. If you want to capture the perfect one just try doing some hiking. The change in elevation really alters your ability to grab an awesome shot!
