I'd been wanting a shot of the sun setting beneath the arch. On this evening I was in luck. The stormy clouds had cleared and I stood patiently waiting for the burst of light as the sun passed behind the arch. I don't like power lines in my photos so I edited to remove those. I actually shot this image from Illinois so I could shoot to the west.
