Location
This photo was taken on a walk in Cornwall, by Carlton Bay beach. There was a delightful family of yellow osteospermum which caught my eye.Time
It was 2pm in the afternoon and the shade danced across the flowers.Lighting
The flowers themselves have a lot of character and so their true colour and personality shone through. However, there were some flowers behind and a wall which shaded them perfectly, reflecting the light of the front row, giving them a vibrant contrast.Equipment
Canon D200, nifty fifty lens, tripod.Inspiration
The light and colour together encapsulated the personality of these delicate vibrant flowers. Just beautiful to the eye.Editing
I added a little contrast. In my camera bag
Tripod, 10 stop filter, nifty fifty, D200Feedback
When you see flowers in the right light, go for it. If it had been another time of day, you could take it from another angle and gain another perspective and outcome. Trust your eye.
