The herring gull - one if the largest birds to frequent the seashore with humans in three UK - the others stay away! These cheeky, but very clever birds know that humans = food and think nothing of strutting up and stealing your fish and chips! BUT they're also clever - they KNOW when it's bin collection day. They also know how to pick up a mussel from the harbour, then drop it from the exact height that it'll crack the shell - too low it won't break, too high and another chancer will steal it before they get there! Never underestimate the sneaky herring gull!
