While on a vacation in Florida, I took a day trip away from the beach and headed to some nature preserves and hiking trails. I ran across this beautiful old heron. He-she was not in any hurry to fly away. It's feathers appeared to be a bit careworn. Such a remarkable looking bird with such a variety of texture and color. A wonderful day.
