Location
This photo was taken in Bangkok, Thailand.Time
End of year 2018.Lighting
The problems encountered are the ambient light and the firework. Must balance to fit by controlling the camera F-stop , Speed and ISO.Equipment
This was shot on Nikon D750 with 18-35mm My setting is Aperture f/11?ISO 100?Shutter B?Focal Length 18 mmInspiration
It is a celebration of the new year 2019Editing
When arriving at the destination I tested the ambient light photography first and compensate for the light when there is a firework, giving the right shooting time The fireworks will take 3-5 seconds. Because each set of fireworks will not have the same duration. Therefore adjust the image in Photoshop again to compensate and retrieve details in the dark or bright areas. Adjust to fit.In my camera bag
Normally I use 3 lens + 1 camera in my bag : Nikon D750 + 35mm for closeup and portrait, 18-35mm for wide and 75-300mm for telephoto.Feedback
Another important device is a tripod, shutter cable release. Turn off the camera Image Stabilisation system in lens and body. Then lock the focus position to manual focus. When the first firework is over I will release the shutter immediately. To capture the light from the starting point until it splits beautifully and releases the shutter release cable before the firework fades
