Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my mother's house with all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Time

It was about 3:00 in the afternoon on a Sunday.

Lighting

This was a sunny day but I decided to shoot in B&W.

Equipment

I used a Canon 4000d with a 75-300mm. No tripod.

Inspiration

We have Sunday dinner together. So all of her grandchildren (the one local) come home and my mother usually cooks. She cooks ham, chicken, macaroni and cheese, rice, cakes etc. On this day she told everyone that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. My family is very close and so this picture represents the hands that we all came from and the hands that will hold us forever, no matter what. And yes ...she is a cancer survivor!

Editing

I sharpened it up in LR but not that much.

In my camera bag

My Canon 4000d, two extra batteries, extra SD card, 75-300 mm lens and my 50mm lens.

Feedback

The best advice I can give a beginner like myself, is to just go and shoot. Take as many pictures as you can. The more you take pictures the better you will become.
