Behind The Lens

Location

Rickets Glenn in Pennsylvania

Time

Mid Afternoon

Lighting

This was a timed shot to balance the low light and help the motion effect

Equipment

NIkon D40 with 70-300 Nikor lens and tripod.

Inspiration

Was wanting to take motion shots of water falls and Rickets Glen has the most in one area closest for a day drive.

Editing

Minor post-process to convert to black and white using Photo elements software.

In my camera bag

Camera, tripod, lens, cleaners, filters for trick photography

Feedback

Patience is the key and get familiar with an area before doing timed photography. Map out possible areas first so not rushing the process because you are not to set on the position you are at. Don't be afraid to utilize your surroundings. A tree limb or rock out crop can hold the perfect angle if you just be open to out of the box views. Even a crevice can provide a perfect view and natural tripod that would otherwise miss if just wanting to be standing.
