Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is taken in the port of Laem Chabang Thailand. On the drive back from work took time to watch this wonderful sunset.

Time

Was taken in the evening just before 6:30 pm. Sun sets very consistently around this time in Thailand so quite easy to predict.

Lighting

The lighting was quite challenging. Getting the timing right between sun setting, light and shadow of the port cranes and clouds. Was able to get a reasonable depth of field and shutter speed at iso 400.

Equipment

I always travel with CanonM5. So had this with me at the time. No other equipment with me so had to improvise.

Inspiration

It was just an inspirational sunset.

Editing

I did very little post processing other than adjusting the raw file settings in lightroom and cropping the image slightly.

In my camera bag

As stated above I always have my canon M5 with me with 32mmf1.4, 18-55mm and 55-200mm. Saves carrying full frame body and lenses around on daily basis. Just recently added a Leica R7 with 50mm f2 Summicron lens and Ilford B+W film.

Feedback

Keep a camera with you at all times! If you see something.......stop and take the time to set yourself up for the shot. You might otherwise regret it.........I have????
