Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken during a safari in Nagarhole national Park (India).
Time
That day in the evening, after a 2hour safari we couldn't even find a single big cat were returning disappointed. Then comes this leopard which was relaxing very near to the path way and we got to spend good amount of time with this beautiful animal.
Lighting
This was a difficult picture to click as the lighting was very low in the evening and the leopard was inside the bushes. Had to balance the overall lighting without losing the details in the image.
Equipment
This was shot on Nikon D500 with 200-500mm Nikkor lens.
Inspiration
That day in the evening, after a 2hour safari we couldn't even find a single big cat were returning disappointed. Then comes this leopard which was relaxing very near to the path way and we got to spend good amount of time with this beautiful animal.
Editing
The picture was edited using Lightroom. In order to create contrast between the subject and the surroundings, I altered the light around the leopard while making the surroundings darker.
In my camera bag
I always carry my Nikon D500 along with Nikkor 200-500mm lens and tokina 16-28mm wide angle lens, also a Sirui tripod.
Feedback
In order to click beautiful images during a wildlife safari, the most important one should possess is PATIENCE.
