Location
Taken in Mount Rainier National Park, Washington.Time
Taken in the mid to late morning.Lighting
It had rained and was drizzly, so probably overcast. This is probably why the white avalanche lilies showed up so clearly with the raindrops on them. If it had been a bright, sunny day, the light reflecting off the white flowers and raindrops would have blown out the color.Equipment
Nikon d5000, no flash, the lens was probably a 18-200mm.Inspiration
I love taking photographs of the natural world. The delicacy of the flowers, with the rough log, and the texture of the surrounding plants made a scene that is so typical of the Pacific Northwest.Editing
Yes, I lightened it some and enhanced the colors. In my camera bag
Camera, three lenses (50-200mm, 52mm, 18-300mm, extra SD cards, field guides to flowers and birds. I don't carry a lot of gear.Feedback
Head out! Look down, look around, look for the little things.
