Location
I took the photo in Holbaek, Denmark a beautiful night in April. The house is a bathing facility called "The Sea bath". From here you can take a dip in the fjord whether it's winter or summer and it´s very popular among both elder and younger people. The building and the area around it very popular place to get photos.Time
I took the photo at 09.14 pm in the night where there were no people at the bathing facility. It was so calm. There was no wind. In Denmark it´s always very windy.Lighting
I was at a different location when I saw this light. I rushed to this location because I knew I would get a great photo of the house with this beautiful light behind. I also knew that the house has some outdoor lights that will illuminate the house a bit. It didn't have to be illuminated too much. I wanted this evening atmosphere.Equipment
I used my Sony ILCE-7RM2 and Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens and finally a Manfrotto 055 tripod and Sirui L-20S.Inspiration
I discovered this place by a friend who had taken a picture of this house in the daylight where you could see the reflection in the water. I went to this place to get to know it better and I imagine how it would look like at night. I got the opportunity that evening where the light was just perfect and it was calm.Editing
I shoot in raw and then you need to do some post-processing. Not much post-processing was needed here but I did some adjustment in PS with light and shadows. In my camera bag
Sony ILCE-7RM2 and Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens, Sony FE 1.8/50, Sony ILCE6000 (camera 2) and sometimes my Nicon Coolpix P900. A Sony E 10-18mm f4 OSS lens, a Zeiss E 4/16-70 lensFeedback
Take a photo a place like this at dusk and where there are no people. Then there must not be too much wind. That evening there were no clouds and it made the photo a bit more calm.
