This image is taken in my native town, Islamabad, Pakistan.Time
I was wandering around in a wild area trying to capture some evening macro shots. I almost always visit one and the same place near a pond to get these. When I got there, I found this amazing composition.Lighting
i always use flash light as rim light. that make the plant branch glowing.Equipment
I used a paper sheet in background and fixed my camera on the best place. I used 90mm macro lens with flash light as rim light. that make the plant branch glowing.Inspiration
As designer I believe the good design must be on golden ratio. Just as the Golden Section is found in the design and beauty of nature, it can also be used to achieve beauty and balance in the design of art. The golden spiral shape of the Pumpkin plant looks like “Fibonacci golden spiral”. The caterpillar is walking on the plant’s branch and I have been waiting since a long time for this moment, when she reaches the best point. At last I get a chance to save this precious moment. I have gain expertise in insect photography from my work, I have God gifted ability of seeing nature differently, I sees insects as objects of beauty, which are as beautiful as any other element of nature and worthy of being photographed.Editing
I shot in raw format, in Photoshop CS6 camera raw I used it for balance the colors and crop.In my camera bag
I am using Nikon D5200 camera with Temron 90mm f/2.8 Macro and extension tubes. Tripod and shutter release cable to avoid the shake blur issue. always use tripod.Feedback
Macro photography is close-up photography of small subjects, including things like bugs and flowers. You can take macro pictures in a studio or outdoor environment so long as you are magnifying your subject sufficiently. Pick the right camera and and use any macro lens equipment.Get enough depth of field like f 11 to f 16 for this you also need lot of light so use flash light. Focus on the most important part of your subject. you can use tripod and use manual focusing as well. Compose and take your picture. if you background is not clear you can use any kind of color sheet.
