I took this photo on a very cold windy day in November on the shores of Lake Erie OntarioTime
I remember this day... waiting and watching the weather and wave reports online anticipating my departure. By 1pm I had arrived and secured my mini gorilla tripod around the lifeguard stand ( acting as my massive tripod). I curled myself around that stand as well, the winds were crazy that day.Lighting
You'd think for crazy winds the clouds and sky would be more ominous, but they were as blue and clear as a hot summers day, Obviously you don't see that as clear in the black and white copy, but I believe the dramatics is better.Equipment
My Sony CyberShot Hx300 - Gorilla Grip mini tripod -The use of the lifeguard stand as the larger of the two tripodsInspiration
I love water and the movement it can create or the feeling of stillness. The opportunities are endless, and everyday on the water is never the same as the day before it's ever changing.. and you need to have a great respect for any body of water you're photographing.Editing

I spent so many hrs. huddled in the dunes of the beach trying to get the best shot of the waves. Its all what you see, every person see's something different when they're capturing water and its movements and power. It also depends on the shot you want to create. Every photographers different so go out and have some fun!
