Location
This photo was taken at an abandoned home outside of Muncie, Indiana.Time
This photo was taken around 4 or 5pm. I remember this being a race with the sun to get this shoot knocked out!Lighting
This photo was taken with all of the natural light that came inside the home. It was important to me to emphasize what naturally occured inside to keep it genuine to the location.Equipment
Nikon D5100 with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.Inspiration
I was driving around back roads in Muncie, Indiana with my best friend while we were staying at her parents' house for a week one summer. Every day we passed this abandoned house, and finally one of our last days there we decided we HAD to shoot there before we left.Editing
I believe this photo did not have any post-processing. I took this photo very early in my photography career about 6 years ago, so I didn't even know what editing was really. In my camera bag
Nowadays, I don't go anywhere without my Nikon D750, Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4 lens, NIKKOR 24-70mm F2.8G lens, and a speedlight.Feedback
Use whatever gear you have, and don't be afraid to underexpose and bring up the lighting in post!
