St Ives Bay, living up to it's reputation for the fantastic quality of light that attracted many artists to area - I just did my best to capture it!
Taken at low tide, as Smeaton Pier is lapped by a calm sea - with the sun rising through a bank of low cloud. I also composed the shot to include the reflection of the pier & lighthouse.
I used a ten stop filter to flatten the already clam sea for a simpler, softer image - and to draw more attention to the colour of the sky.
Composite of two images:
Pier & Refection:
Canon 6D MkII | 24-105mm lens at 26mm | ƒ-11 | 60 sec | ISO 200 | Lee Grad Filters (taken 13-04-2019)
Sky:
Canon 6D MkII | 24-105mm lens at 26mm | ƒ-14 | 120 sec | ISO 100 | Lee Grad Filters (taken 13-04-2019)
