I saw the Aurora Borealis only twice during 7 days back in February, which is not a lot! The weather conditions was harsh and on this night most of the Lofoten islands were covered by clouds. We had a tiny opening between the clouds at the iconic Skagsanden Beach. The luck was on our side! A belt of Northern Light danced around above the ocean. Unfortunately even more clouds appeared and the opening started to close. It’s a hard place to do night photography when you have clouds the the right of the mountain. The clouds pick up a lot of color polution from a small town. In this case I think the colors compliment each other, working great together!
