I captured this picture at a little town named Jame inside the ancient family's house. Norma, my aunt in law, married to my mom's brother lives there facing both the church and the plaza (the public garden) where she sells every sunday her hand made membrillo's liquors. Jame is a place located in the highest mountains of Arteaga at the state of Coahuila.Time
I scarcely remember if it was by 10 or 11 o'clockLighting
I tried to show the low nature lighted rooms that made me feel a little bit nostalgic because the house belonged to.my grandmother whom I used to visit during summer when I was little. She allowed her children to run free exploring the woods and the river while she was attending the collection of fruitcamps. She raised there mainly apples but used to live at Saltillo where traditions were very accepted. She cooked pies, "conservas" made of fruits and the handmade butter and "tortillas de harina". Jame makes me smell and remember lots of special handmade flavors like this liquor made of membrillo. The bottles were placed in a shadowed corner not so close to the window. They seemed to belong to an ancient tradition. My grandlaster died old at the eighties in the last century.Equipment
A digital cammera that I love: a nikon, maybe my D750Inspiration
The familiar tradition... The place that I used to visit and miss a lot. The joy that was finding an aunt who keep the tradition nowadaysEditing
Yes, I process the pictures a very little bit in order to keep them the closer I can keep them to the original. I use to capture them avoiding the automatic moods. And I love to try pictures by night times (it impeels me to explore my best)In my camera bag
Anything but my camera. I didn't have a support yet as I do.now (a "tripie"). But I always have a "rebozo" to dress over my elbows. Sometimes I use it to perform a shade oveFeedback
Passion. Read a lot about pictures or photographeres. Take advices from teachers and share them. Always carry your camera with you. It helps to get surprised by the way.
