Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken at Gamla Uppsala in Sweden. These burial mounds date back to the 5th century.

Time

This was taken mid-afternoon because I walked 5k from downtown Uppsala to get here.

Lighting

Finding the right balance of color on a snowy and cloudy day was quite difficult. I often found the landscape blending into the sky. After many, many shots that day, I came away with a few gems, including this one.

Equipment

This was taken with my trusty Canon Rebel T6i and then finessed on Adobe Lightroom.

Inspiration

I'm always looking for beautiful landscapes that I can capture and take home with me.

Editing

Yes, I adjust lighting and contrast quite often using Adobe Lightroom. I also need to straighten all of my photos because I stand crooked.

In my camera bag

I tend to carry only 3 lenses with me, my favorite being my 85mm for great detail and single focus images.

Feedback

Get out there! Just go and look and you'll see beauty all around you. Go on hikes, take long walks, and travel. You never know what you might find.
