Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my back shed at night with a small light nearby, I was living in grafton, nsw, Australia. A small country town with a heap of charcter

Time

It was about 9pm at night using one of my small light used for product shoots.

Lighting

It was just small plug in lamp used for my product shoots

Equipment

I used my Canon 750d which I had at the time.

Inspiration

It was there ... if I see something it's worth shooting, you never know I've taken a photo of rubbish and got great responses from those that saw it, everything has it's story and to the right person, its a great story.

Editing

I did take this a few years ago so knowing what I actually edited on this photo would be hard to say with any certainty, although in saying that I definitely would have edited lighting and such in lightroom or photoshop.

In my camera bag

I now use my 250d mk11 ...two large 4 bulb tripod light boxes, two small lamps, some coloured covers for lights, a few large backgrounds (normally three) three or four small torches...two sets of multi coloured led lighting boards.a small make-up kit, and some brushes and wipes, and im probably forgetting something haha

Feedback

My advice would be to shoot it the way you feel it should be shot, its your art ???? dont try to be someone else, shoot it with added exposure, brightness etc..as I shoot in raw I then can turn down brightness and exposure in edit, at least that way you will have captured all the information in that scene your shooting , rather than shooting it the way you want to see it as you will lose that information in dark areas with no possibility of regaining said information.
