Evangeline is poem written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. A tale of Acadie. The poem follows an Acadian girl named Evangeline and her search for her lost love Gabriel, set during the expulsion of the Acadians from 1755-1762. This was their settlement where they worked and lived from 1682-1755.
