Location
We went to the botanical gardens for a home field trip. I like getting out and exploring my surroundings. They have a butterfly enclosure that we went to see. All these amazing, beautiful creatures were fluttering around.Time
Going to the gardens was a last minute idea that we had for a family outing. Everyone really enjoyed it and I got some amazing pictures! It was a wonderful day spent!Lighting
The lighting was natural. The enclosure we went into had natural skylights for the habitat.Equipment
For this shot I used my trusty Canon. No special effects or editing was needed.Inspiration
It was a challenge to try to get the butterflies while they were landed and with wings open. I like to challenge myself whenever I can that way I can improve my skill.Editing
I didn’t really need to process this. I hardly edit anything actually.In my camera bag
I have the basic equipment in my bag. A few filters, a flash, and a bigger lens for closer shots. Nothing really fancy!!!Feedback
Patience is key for getting really good shots. If you try to rush the shot you can end up with either something completely awesome or not what you intended at all!
