Location
This photo was taken from the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa. My wife and I climbed for nearly 3 hours to reach the top because the cable car was not operating due to fog. About 20 minutes after we reached the top, the fog cleared and this was the view.Time
This was taken surround mid day.Lighting
No.Equipment
Taken on a Pentax K5 with a Sigma 24-70mm F2.8.Inspiration
The sense of awe I felt at seeing the view. Especially since a short time before, visablity was down to a few metres due to the fog.Editing
This image is a panorama stitched from 7 images. In my camera bag
At the time this was taken, I used the Pentax K5 with the Sigma 24-70 f2.8. Also, a Pentax 50-135 f2.8, a Sigma 70-300 f3.5-6.3 and a Sigma 50 f1.4. Now I have a Sony A7iii with a 24-105 f4.Feedback
Don't allow the prevailing weather conditions stop you trying to get a shot. The weather can change quickly. For the same reason, if there's an opportunity for a photo, take it.
