Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken at Great Pulteney Street in Bath, I was on my way home from work and had my camera in hand, I loved the way the subject stood and was perfectly centred in frame, the rows of houses to the left and right lead the eye to the subject in a brilliant way.Time
Late afternoon, early evening. Right as the sun was behind me. *chefs kiss*Lighting
The sun is a great light source.Equipment
Fujifilm X-T1 with the 18mmF2 lens, the most underrated Fuji lens in their catalogue .Inspiration
Impulse, that’s how most pictures come about.Editing
I used a little S-curve in lightroom to achieve the faded film effect that I love so much, I also added a little more contrast and dropped the highlights a little. Not huge amounts, but just enough. It was edited on my phone as a JPEG, which is sacrilege, I know.In my camera bag
I like to travel light, the camera body with the 18mm mounted is all I need, I often have it in a pocket as it fits nicely in my jacket.Feedback
Be quick and think about the lines, works every time.
