Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my cousin's place in Glenanda, Johannesburg as we were having a family gathering.

Time

During the day, Right around 15:00

Lighting

The weather was a little overcast, so being inspired by the cold white balance together with the subjects skin color, I had figured that macro red colour would make this image and color's stand out.

Equipment

The Canon 450D and it's standard 18-55mm lens.

Inspiration

My cousin's son is a model and saw me with a camera and he actually wanted to see how good I actually am at photography, That's when this "Red Stripes" image was born. So no specific reference.

Editing

Yes, Definitely. The image is JPEG, in an instant I just retouched it using Google Snapseed with JPEG 100% processing. I raised the structure & sharpness for quality purposes with the enhancement of the saturation.

In my camera bag

Nikon D3300 and the 85mm F1.4

Feedback

I believe capturing images like these are one-hit wonders because it is captured with love and passion. So with these 2 natural elements, capturing even better images is possible.
