Behind The Lens

Location

New York City waterfront appears very beautiful and photographic from weehawken, the other side of the Hudson River, up on researching through Google Maps, found this place at weehawken water front park, right above Lincoln tunnel where I can park my car and setup the tripod to take some long exposure shots of NYC.

Time

In the evening \early night hours around. 07:00 PM EST

Lighting

As I was prepared for long exposure shots, to capture the glimpse of light reflections on water from a distant subject. I just made sure there is no close by streetlight or any other light source that can disturb my shot through lens flares.

Equipment

i have used my Nikon D5500 with 18-55mm Kit lens.

Inspiration

The long exposure shot of Landscape where I can compose light reflections in a water body, and living near to the world's most famous city New York! Definitely has some inspiration behind this scene.

Editing

Basic post-processing like adjusting brightness, shadows, saturation, and sharpness.

In my camera bag

Last year I have upgraded my camera gear to a full-frame Nikon D750 with a Sigma 24-70mm f2.8, along with it, I have my old Camera Nikon D5500 with Nikon 18-55mm kit lens, apart from these two I have a Nikon 105mm Macro lens, and a Sigma 60-600mm sports lens.

Feedback

For the above shot, accidentally I picked a time in early winter which made me a bit of uncomfortable with chilling wind, so anybody trying for the similar shots consider the weather and season wise to pick the best date before planning your shoot.
