A starry night, the one when we saw a faint meteor shower.

We were out at Khajjiar ground late at night to see a Quadrantids meteor shower. We only had a small window of time to see the meteor shower before the clouds came in and covered the skies. The meteors were really hard to spot. In fact, for a long time only a few of us had seen a handful of meteors. But eventually, all of us had spotted atleast one. It was such a fun night and we were all ecstatic with the experience we had just had.

Only until, we photographed a pair of eyes in the distance. I thought someone must have wandered into my frame. But all of us were right there. Now, during this time a few stray dogs had gathered around us. Soon we noticed all of them were staring into the same direction, looking very alarmed. We raised our torch into that direction and we could see a pair of eyes glimmering in the distance looking right at us.
We were definite it was some wild animal, or atleast some of us were. We had no intent to encounter it out there so we hurriedly packed up and proceeded towards our vehicles. The dogs followed us, stopping once a while to look in that direction. As soon as we got back into our vehicles, we were quite relieved yet still intrigued to know what animal it was. So we drove in the said direction but couldn't spot anything. So, we drove back to our place. The dogs were pretty scared too so they ran alongside us in the opposite direction.
Once we got back we lit a campfire and sat around it while discussing about it and sharing some other spooky stories. Thus, it turned out to be even more fun and we had another story to share.
