Behind The Lens
Location
One of the wildlife sanctuaries/parks in Costa Rica.Time
Late morning, I was walking through an indoor enclosure where most of the exhibits were behind glass, but this little one was in one of the palms/vegetation that were alongside the walkway. This tiny frog was probably the size of a thumb from the knuckle.Lighting
The lighting was tough, as it was inside, and I didn't want to use a flash, so the ISO got ramped upEquipment
This was handheld with a Sony A6000 and an adapted Minolta 'Beercan' at 210mm F/4. I was trying to go out there with minimal equipment.Inspiration
Inspiration was happenstance, I just noticed him/her as I was walking through the enclosure.Editing
Due to the circumstances this holiday was shot in jpegs, so I was a bit limited to: Brightening up Boosting the saturation Sharpening CroppingIn my camera bag
On any given day it could be Nikon or Canon, full frame and crop. This was an experiment in taking smaller equipment for travel and playing with some older lenses.Feedback
I felt the equipment was lacking out there and I would, in this instance, have preferred newer equipment with better lenses.
