Absolute Masterpiece

This was taken in Durban, South Africa. My Dad said he was going to the beach and could he take my little girl. I went down later and took this picture of them both .

Two of my most precious family, sadly they are both now in Heaven and I miss them terribly

The morning sunrise is reflected in both the clouds and on the snowy ground.

Another sunset, this time the sky and water were pink and purple.

A windy, cold and snowy day, this vessel is making it's way to tie up in a safe harbour until the storm is over.

Sunset reflected in clouds turns the water the same colour.

Took a walk along the road which had been plowed and loved these overgrown rose bushes covered in snow.

I flew down to S.A. with my grand-daughter - so this photo is Baby Alana and my Dad Deryk John enjoying time on the beach.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Durban, South Africa. Karen and my Dad "Dusty" as he was known to all, had taken her down to the beach for some play time, while my Mother and I did some house cleaning. I wondered down to the beach to make sure all was okay and snapped this photograph.

Time

I would say it as about 11am.

Lighting

The sun was shining nice and bright, so didn't need any other lighting.

Equipment

If my mind serves me correctly, I think it was a "Brownie camera", just a point and shoot camera. In those days there ware no fancy cameras that we have today.

Inspiration

This was the first time that Karen had met my dad, as we lived in Rhodesia and had travelled down to South Africa to visit and stay with my parents.

Editing

"No"...it was just a small Brownie, point and shoot camera.

In my camera bag

These days I own a LUMIX -"24X Optical zoom PANASONIC camera.
