Location
I took this photo in the upper portion of my yard in Eagle Rock, Virginia. When Jo-Jo comes outside, he thinks it's his "job" to do a perimeter patrol of the yard. Once he has sniffed everything, he goes to the top of the yard and stands. He is such a beautiful dog. We truly hit the jackpot with him.Time
I think this photo was taken in the morning, before noon. I have to use my zoom when I'm taking photos of Jo-Jo because if I am anywhere close with him, he likes to run up to the lens and stick his nose on it.Lighting
Everything was natural. No special setups/lighting. We were just outside playing in the snow.Equipment
I was used a Canon PowerShot.Inspiration
I love taking photos of snow landscapes and of course, Jo-Jo. Things just clicked on this day.Editing
I do very little editing. I'm old fashioned. I will touch up the colors very slightly but most of the time, what I see, is what I process. In my camera bag
I usually have a high zoom point and shoot (Canon PowerShot or Kodak PixPro) in addition to my Canon dslr in my bag.Feedback
No real advice other than Jo-Jo and I were just out playing and having a great day. He wasn't paying any attention to me with my camera. We just had a good day. Be relaxed and have fun with your photography. Pets can be difficult to get natural photos of. A lot of the time, he will focus on what I'm doing and not be "relaxed". He finally focused on playing and patroling and not really paying attention to what I was doing. I love this shot of him.
