This Mayan Temple to IXCHE dates back over 1500 years when Isla Mujeres (Island of Women), in Quintana Roo, Mexico's easternmost point, served as the sanctuary for the goddess of the moon, fertility, medicine and happiness. This evening while visiting the temple ruins on Punta Sur, I captured this this young man celebrating his Myan heritage with a sunset leap for the Godess Ixche.
