An unusual combination of this exposed seawall and the tide being way up the beach led to this shot. Generally this old, failed seawall is under the sand. It emerges a few times every winter, but usually not to this extent.
It was raining and gray, but the sky broke just as sunset so I raced down here wishing I had time to go somewhere else. Then I found the wall being rushed by the tide and was glad I didn't. This was my favorite shot of those I took, but my tripod moved in the rush of water under it. It was a little blurry. I processed the next frame, which was steady, and blended in the water from the blurry frame.
