Boats moored at low tide on the River Deben at Woodbridge, Suffolk. Woodbridge is a pretty market town on the banks of the Deben, abouit 8 miles inland from the coast. It is at these lower stages of the river that it becomes tidal before entering the North Sea by Felixtowe. This area is ecologically important and is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It is also a Ramsar (special protection) site.
