AugastaWetland AW101 or Merlin helicopter flying overhead as HMS Illustrious enters Portsmouth harbour for the last time. July 22nd 2014. The Merlin has a similar footprint on deck to a Sea King but a significant improvement in load capacity and speed. It also has the advantage of a tail ramp, seen partly open in this shot, as well as side doors.
